DESCRIPTION:   The purpose of this workshop is to introduce teachers to the various field trips and tour experiences that they can participate in and expose their students to creative but practical ways of learning about The Bahamas’ history and the importance of integrating other disciplines such as Geography and Environmental Science into their classrooms.

Topics will address literacy /reading, Curriculum resources for special needs students, Laws governing Special Education what is expected and required, inclusion and the least Restrictive environment and how best to equip our students to make the transition from the classroom to independency with the main goal being to work as a team to produce the most conducive environment for learning through collaborating with each other and all relevant stakeholders.
